Gear
This section keeps the record of your rigs: what they are built from, service life, replacement and maintenance dates. Entered once, updated from there on — days until the next repack, jumps on the canopy, current wing loading.
The rig is a key part of the jump
Your rigs
You can keep several. Each one is described once and then goes into a jump entry whole — canopy, reserve and AAD.
Fill it in as you go
A rig does not have to be described all at once. Start with the canopy and add the reserve, the AAD and the container later.
The default rig
A rig you have added can be marked as the main one. From then on it is filled in on a new jump entry automatically.
Rentals
A rented canopy is entered when you add the jump, with no rig to set up. The last five come up as suggestions.
Round gear
A round canopy is picked when you add the jump — there is no rig to set up for it. Name the deployment mode and the altitude fills itself in.
Your logbook stays whole
A rig can be deleted and the entries stay as they were. The canopy you jumped remains in every one of them.
A digital rig passport
Container
Brand and model are picked from a shared catalogue — Javelin, Vector, Mirage and others. Alongside them, the serial number and date of manufacture.
Main canopy
Brand, model, size, serial number and date of manufacture. Separately — when it went into the rig, when the lines were replaced and when it was last inspected.
Reserve canopy
The same as the main canopy, plus the repack: date, the rigger’s name and the number of rides. The standard 180 days run from that date, and the app shows how many are left.
AAD
Model, serial number and date of manufacture. Then service life, battery replacement and maintenance — each with its own date and its own countdown.
Use counts add themselves up
Uses come from the log
Nothing is tallied by hand: a canopy's uses are the jumps it is linked to. Log a jump and the counter moves.
A used canopy doesn't start at zero
When you add a canopy you say what it has already done: total uses, and uses since the last reline. Everything after that is counted from that base.
Three numbers
“Total uses”, “since reline” and “on this model” — in My canopies and on the rig's canopy screen. The first two are the life of one particular thing, the third is your own experience on the model.
Rented canopies stay separate
Jumps on rented or borrowed canopies of the same model don't count against your canopy's life — they show up as a separate line: “N of them on rented ones”.
The canopy has its own history
A canopy is not tied to one rig
The same canopy can be moved into another rig. The dates it spent in the old one stay there, while its history and use count travel with the canopy.
A jump remembers its canopy
A jump added after the fact gets the canopy that was in the rig on that day, not the one there today. The installation history keeps track of that for you.
The past can be filled in
A canopy change is entered with its date, and an installation you forgot can be added later. The counters recalculate on their own.
The model catalogue
A canopy is picked from a shared catalogue — brands, models, sizes and descriptions. The model page shows your own record: how many jumps on each size and when the latest one was.
Wing loading at a glance
Always in sight
The number sits on the rig card and next to the canopy when you add a jump. Its colour shows which category that loading falls into.
How it's worked out
Body weight plus gear weight, divided by the canopy size, in pounds per square foot. The weight is entered once in your profile — rig, suit, helmet, camera.
Five categories
From “student” (under 1.0) to “expert” (2.2 and up), each with a description of what that loading asks of the pilot. It's a reference point, not a clearance: the decision stays with you and your instructor.
Put your rig details into the app
The papers are filled in once; after that the app does the counting — uses from the logbook, dates from the last repack. It is part of the same free app as the logbook itself.
